The show, Off the Grid with Les Stroud, chronicled the process of buying property and refitting an old farm house with solar and wind power, a rain catcher and well, as well as the adjustments the Stroud family had to make to adapt to this style of living. twitter.com www.reconearth.blogspot.com Subscribe to RE Facebook feed RSS (Best) http Subscribe to RE Blog feed RSS/Email feeds.feedburner.com

Thanks for removing this stupid comment from cresidue. Immature and silly people should not have access to the web to post their stupid and vulgar comments.

It is not my job to educate you! They seperated in late 2008 & were divorced in 2009 (source Parade). Don’t bother me again, there are far more important things to be done.

That’s great and all, but the initial project looked like it would have run over 50k, minimum. That’s a thirty year mortgage itself.

I guess the “stress” is what made his wife leave him in 2008. I think this entire project, although cool, was not very well thought out.

You can also heat up hot water for the house.

  18. josephdupont March 31, 2012 at 3:10 pm #

You should use the excess energy to generate hydrogen out of water. store the H2 in inner tubes and cook with it.

yeah they have changed the format but idc really. Once I go mobile I might even go stone age to some degree. I have not had cabel or watched Tv since 2009. Get my info from the internet. Maybe eventually I will go totally stone age but i need to stay in touch with certain people in my life. The prob is there are no privacy settings on you tube that let you select who you want to see your channel.
